POTTERY WORKSHOP AT L’ARTISAN: AWAKEN YOUR CREATIVITY AT ANA MANDARA VILLAS DALAT
At Ana Mandara Villas Dalat, the L’Artisan Craft Studio offers a dedicated space for creativity, where your hands and ideas await discovery. Nestled within the garden of Villa 15, known as the Farmer’s Villa, L’Artisan is a secluded retreat designed to inspire creativity and offer hands-on experiences closely connected to nature.
L’Artisan Craft Studio – A Creative Haven Amidst a Heritage Garden
Away from the noise of everyday life, this tranquil space invites guests to slow down, discover joy in the simple things, and create something that reflects their individuality. Rather than focusing on technical perfection, every experience at L’Artisan is an opportunity to explore different materials, experiment with ideas, and enjoy the creative process in your own way.
Kicking off the studio’s series of artistic activities is the pottery workshop, where clay becomes a medium for guests to freely explore and express their creativity.

Pottery Workshop – The Art of Handcrafting with Clay
Pottery is an art that calls for patience, focus, and a delicate sense of touch. Starting with a simple lump of clay, each movement of kneading, shaping, and refining gradually brings a new form to life. Beyond creating a handcrafted piece, the process offers an opportunity to reconnect with the present, set aside everyday distractions, and embrace the joy of creativity.
At L’Artisan, the pottery workshop is designed to welcome everyone, including those who are completely new to the craft. Working with Cao Lanh clay and using traditional hand-building techniques, participants are invited to explore shapes, forms, and textures inspired by their own ideas. A pottery wheel is also available as a supporting tool, making the shaping process more comfortable and accessible.

What makes this experience special is the uniqueness of every creation. No two pairs of hands will ever shape clay in exactly the same way. A small cup, a decorative plate, or an abstract sculptural form can each become a personal expression of its maker.
Here, the value of a creation lies not only in its final form, but also in the moments spent bringing it to life.
Two Pottery Experiences at L’Artisan
To suit different interests and preferences, L’Artisan offers two pottery experiences: a basic air-dry pottery class and a pottery-making class featuring kiln-fired finished pieces.
1. Basic Air-Dry Pottery Experience
The basic air-dry pottery class is an ideal choice for those who wish to explore the art of clay sculpting and take a gentle pause from their busy routines to reconnect with themselves.
Participants will discover the feel of clay, learn basic clay-handling techniques, and practice shaping by hand. With guidance throughout the experience, you are free to experiment with your own ideas, from simple geometric forms to decorative creations.
No prior experience is required. The class encourages everyone to enjoy the creative process at their own pace. Start with a simple idea, refine each detail, and discover new shapes as your creation gradually takes form.
Experience fee: VND 450,000 per person.

2. Kiln-Fired Pottery Experience
For those who wish to preserve their creative work as a fully finished ceramic piece, the kiln-fired pottery experience is an ideal choice.
During this experience, participants shape their creations and refine their designs with guidance from the studio. Once the hands-on session is complete, each piece will undergo further preparation and kiln firing to become a finished ceramic work.
To have a piece kiln-fired and completed, an additional fee of VND 450,000 per piece applies. The total cost for one participant creating one kiln-fired piece is therefore VND 900,000.
The finished piece is expected to be ready for collection in approximately 30 days. This waiting period is part of the pottery-making journey, allowing each creation to undergo the necessary stages of processing before returning to the hands of its maker.
