‘Dalat – City of Arts’ Exhibition: When Art Connects Us

Keeping the spirit of “Art connects us”, “Dalat – City of Arts” is a series of activities leaning towards communal cultural values and connecting resources, artists and experts in the country and abroad to merge the city into the stream of global creativity culture.

Initiated by Pho Ben Doi, the launching ceremony of “Dalat – City of Arts” is a meet-and-share about two subprojects including the publication “Pho Ben Doi connects us” and “Dalat Art Map” expected to be officially published in 2023 in celebration of the city’s 130th anniversary.

The series of community events comprising of Urban sketch tour by Urban Sketchers Vietnam and sightseeing tour in focus on architecture and art space at Ana Mandara Villas Dalat welcome individuals who fall in love with Dalat with advocacy for heritage conservation, environment protection and the sustainable development of the two projects.

Pho Ben Doi joins hands with Ana Mandara Villas Dalat in selecting artworks from several painters and architects such as Nguyen The Thong, Tran Quoc Long, Nguyen Thuy Huong, Doan Quoc, Nguyen Duc Cuong, Le Nguyen, Vu Duc Chien from Urban Sketchers Vietnam and Vietnam Watercolor Art group. The exhibition “Dalat – City of Arts” storytells the perspective of the authors on the city of thousand flowers from multi-materials: watercolor sketches, ink, oil paint, gouache etc.
